The original Greene brothers, Boyce and Raymond, began drilling in 1945 - providing complete water systems to the families and business in western North Carolina.
Next Generation Growth in 1970
BT Greene and his family moved from Canton to Sylva to establish a new branch of the company.
3rd Generation and a Peaceful Separation
As the 1990’s began, Greene Brothers experienced some monumental changes. The introduction of the portable toilet business in 1990 was followed by a separation within the company in 1993 as the third generations of Greenes entered the company. WT took the helm in the Canton branch, now known as Greene Brothers Well and Pump; the Sylva branch became AAA Greene Brothers Well DRLG. of Sylva, INC, led by BT and his wife Audrey.
At the turn of the century, WNC Portable Toilets began offering roll-off containers to its ever-growing number of customers.
The Legacy Continues
As we enter in to our 8th decade in business, the bedrock of our leadership team is a firm faith in God and a desire to provide the highest quality service in the area.
If you enter into our office in Sylva, you are likely to see the 5th generation of the family running around: unstocking shelves, working on our marketing strategy (as evidenced by the photo), and sitting on the “ecavators” (trackhoes).
